Comment from one of our vendors!

October 23rd, 2009

Dear Andy:

It has been brought to my understanding that you are interested in possibly pursuing the opportunity of participating in one of the Wedding Clickers bridal shows.

When I first thought about doing a show I was very skeptical due to the cost. I thought that pricing for tables was very high and just getting started in the bridal business made things even tougher.

In doing research, I happen to come across Wedding Clickers, and after speaking to Dottie and Bob I knew I was making the right decision. I signed up for my first show last year in Cranberry PA, and within the time I was at this event, I wrote 9 contracts at $1800.00 each ($16,200.00). This was only the beginning. I have continued with Bob and Dottie pretty much this past year and just recently participated a bridal show at the Monroeville convention center. I was absolutely blown away. Bob and Dottie both worked with me to make sure I was getting the most out of my money and because of the way they do business I felt like I was at an event in Las Vegas. As a result of this particular show, I wrote over 11 contracts which netted my company almost $30,000.00 in revenue. Excellent for a few hours of work.

I will tell you though the key to my continuous success, is working with people like Bob and Dottie and the rest of the staff at Wedding Clickers. You will NOT find another group of people who will take care of you the way that they do. In addition, Wedding Clickers gives you all the tools that you need in order to be successful. However, it is YOU who must do the follow up with every single lead that you get. I am relentless about doing it. If you follow through with the follow up I guarantee you the business will come to you. You have to work it though.

Take the opportunity to see what these shows are like by visiting the Cranberry show. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to call me at ***-***-****, and I will be more than happy to talk to further in detail.

I look forward to meeting you at one the shows.

I will add you to my e-mail list and send you some sample e-mail campaigns that I have sent out if I can have your permission to add you to my list.

Best Regards,

Dear Bob and Dottie:

Can you say CHA-CHING???? First, I would like to begin by telling you both how much I greatly appreciate what you did for us for the show yesterday at Monroeville.

It will FOREVER seal my commitment to you and your company. However, I did happen to notice yesterday that just a few vendors had packed up prior to the showing being finished at 4pm.

If you would like, I would like you to share with them the following thought. Brides who attend shows such as wedding clickers are NOT going to buy your products as soon as they walk through the door. They are like any other customer in that they wish to browse the event, meet with the vendors, walk around and discuss thoughts bout utilizing each vendor’s services.

Yesterday by 1:00 pm I wrote two contracts for our candy buffet tables each valued at $2500.00 a piece. Surely you are aware that is $5000.00 in sales within “2” hours. However, I do know that the bulk of any sales are going to come during that last hour of your event which was from 3-4pm after the brides have had the opportunity to enjoy the entire day and everything wedding clickers had to offer. During the last hour and fifteen minutes I knew I was going to be swamped just by the comments I alone  heard from brides.

Within that time frame I wrote an additional 9 contracts all valued at $2500.00 each which brought my total sales revenue for the to $27,500.00. My goal was higher than that and for anyone who did leave early or had considered leaving early, they just will NEVER know what could have been had they stayed.

Because of our overwhelming success at your show, I came in today to find myself hit with a huge promotion within the company along with a very lucrative salary increase. Thank you sooooo much for all that you both do. The passion and warmth that you both exude to everyone you come across will be something that I will always true and always dear to my heart.

Here is to all of our continued successes in life.

Your friend always,

Buzz up!

Dottie Miller, owner of Wedding Clickers Bridal Shows in Monroeville, said she is so impressed with the municipality’s new convention center that she’s booked three shows there next year.

Miller, her husband, Bob, and a few company staffers last week introduced their vendors to the Monroeville Convention Center, located inside the old Wickes Furniture building not far from the ExpoMart.

“The lighting is so good,” Miller said. Added her husband, “Compared to the ExpoMart, which was nice, this is awesome.”

The general public will get its first peek at the convention center today, when it opens its doors for the Willi’s Ski Show, which continues through Monday. A grand-opening celebration and ribbon-cutting are scheduled for Sept. 17.

The convention center is owned by Oxford Development, which is renovating the former Radisson Hotel — now Doubletree Pittsburgh — next door. The 190-room hotel opens in December.

Lance Rihn, general manager of the hotel and convention center, said they will be a boon to Monroeville’s economy.

“It’s tremendously helpful for hotels, restaurants and retail,” Rihn said. “It’s a huge boost.”

The 100,000-square-foot, $16.2 million convention center can accommodate up to 5,400 people. The main exhibit hall is 60,000 square feet with a polished concrete floor, high ceilings and plenty of natural lighting. A second, carpeted exhibit area is 42,000 square feet with an adjacent space that can be broken down into four meeting rooms using removable walls.

“I think it is the perfect size for the types of shows it’s intended to attract,” said Chad Amond, president of the Monroeville Area Chamber of Commerce.

The convention center is booked each weekend through the end of the year, Rihn said.
Many of the ExpoMart’s old clients have scheduled shows at the convention center, he said, including the organizers of the Pittsburgh Comicon comic book convention, the Steel City Con toy show, the Allegheny Sport Show and the Pittsburgh Golf Show.
Greg Klein, owner of Willi’s Skis and Snowboards, said he’s thrilled that his company will be the first to host a show at the convention center. He said the natural, warm lighting is a big plus for him because the hue is better for selling yellows and reds, all colors common to winter sports apparel.

The convention center likely will qualify for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design certification through the U.S. Green Building Council, Rihn said. Environmentally friendly aspects of the building include a white roof that reflects the sun and helps keep the building cool and a heating and cooling system that uses 20 percent less energy than normal.

The building must be in operation for a few months so its energy efficiency can be measured before it’s officially certified, Rihn said. In addition to saving money on utility bills, LEED certification could help attract new business, he said.

“There are a few shows out there that require us to be green,” Rihn said. “Without that, we lose those shows.”
